Facebook Leads Ads feature allowing Click-to-messenger action is now available to advertisers globally. The feature was in beta and limited to the selected few advertisers only.

With this feature, advertisers can now direct users to the Facebook messenger from the lead ads and start the conversation there.

Facebook says that businesses now can to set up an automated question experience. Ads that click-to-Messenger, created in the messages objective, opens a Messenger conversation between a person and business and kicks off a set of questions that can be answered through pre-filled or free form text.

It also allows for CRM integration. The conversation with the qualified lead can continue in the Pages Inbox, Pages Manager App or in a third-party live chat provider. The best of all, a timely reminder is automatically sent to people who have not yet completed questions, prompting them to respond.
